Once upon a time...
There was an eager young engineer
Who wanted to build software
So he did
He saw a lot of colassal fuck-ups orchestrated by very bright people
He discovered there were two careers for engineers
You could manage bits or people
And he realized most engieners were trained to manage bits
Which meant there were companies full of managers inflicting their bits skills on their employees
So the engineer wrote, and wrote, and wrote...
And he realized simply by telling stories, he could help
So, he told employees that no matter where you are on the org chart, you matter
And he told managers that while they might be great with bits
They still needed to figure out how to Manage Humans
